But, that's more of a desirable side effect than the main purpose. I think, it's implemented more for environmental reasons than the cost savings. Even the effect on starter motor life, he mentions it as irrelevant on that video. The fuel consumed in start is very negligible on modern engines ( unlike the old carburetor ones ) which I think he mentions it on the video as well. That apart, I personally don't know if the fuel savings in switching off the engine for 180 seconds is greater than the fuel consumed on starts and the wear & tear on battery/ starter etc. So, it's kind of a relief for me, when that's taken care of automatically. PS: Even on the Etios, I used to switch off whenever possible because I have been in the shoes of a pedestrian many a times and got to know the effect of multiple cars idling in traffic and the kind of pollution and increase in temperature it causes. I love it and I'm sure some people will hate it as well. Again, it's a person dependent love or hate feature. Else, I'll have to cheat the start/stop by not pressing the brakes fully for the first few minutes whenever I come to a stop on a toll booth or use N instead of P in such case if I decide to shift away from D after cruising at high speeds. If this is considered in design by Toyota, then it's well and good. Even though the crysta has a water cooled turbo, I'm still not sure whether the coolant circulation is driven using an electric motor which works independent of the engine. Only thing I'm worried right now is its effect on the turbo charged engines. I have been using it regularly in Bangalore traffic and I cross silk board more often than not when I drive in Bangalore. I love the way its implemented in the Crysta even in stop/go traffic. I don't think this is practical in our market given the number of stops we have to make, think a stop-go situation in any city.Īuto Start/stop is kind of a controversial feature. Overall very satisfied with the service experience from Toyota today.Įven though this feature is tremendously helpful, AutoStart/ Stop is pretty useless and even on smooth BMW 6 cylinder engines, the first thing I do after start is to switch off this feature. It was mainly checking fluids and checking & tightening (if required) the nuts & bolts of the new vehicle. They explained the entire servicing steps in details. They completed the servicing in time and with good quality. The service manager was very helpful & professional. Tried to look at internet articles but no solid updates from TKM yet.ĭid the 1st free servicing this weekend for my Touring Sport. So are the new GD-series engines all made in India now or merely assembled. On a different topic, where are Innova Crysta engines made these days? Originally I heard they used to be imported (from Japan?) but then in 2016 or so, Toyota had plans to build these locally. The 30-50 stops a day is your interpretation or is this documented somewhere. Especially coming from Toyota who over engineer for durability, you can be double sure. It's supposed to last really long even with 30-50 stops a day.

In much the same fashion, light reflected off of your target is bent as it passes between dense cool air and less dense hot air. Still, mirage can be your friend, as we'll discuss later you can use the mirage to your advantage by reading it to get very accurate wind speed estimations. The first step in negotiating atmospheric conditions is knowing the wind direction and how much value to assign it. Assessing the direction of the wind is a fairly easy task. Wind flags are used at most long range rifle competitions, and are generally a permanent fixture at established rifle ranges. If your range doesn't have wind flags you can make some easily and inexpensively using some wooden stakes and fluorescent orange engineers tape. The most basic measurement that a flag is good for is determining actual wind direction. This essential measurement will help you to determine what value to give to the wind full, three quarters, half, or no value. Wind direction is determined relative to the shooter's position using the clock face method, or using the angle measured in degrees. When the wind is blowing at 90 degrees (3 o'clock) or 270 degrees (9 o'clock) relative to your shooting position, we assign it a full value of 1. Wind blowing at 45 degrees, 135 degrees, 225 degrees, or 315 degrees relative to your position is given three quarters value. When the wind is blowing at 0 degrees or 180 degrees (12 o'clock or 6 o'clock) relative to your position it is disregarded and given no value. See the diagram to the right for more details on assigning wind value. Some shooters try to compensate for bullet drop or rise caused by the wind blowing directly away or directly towards the target. I initially went with 1 column but I felt like there was a lot of unused space on the right, so I went with the 2 column layout for mobile which seems to fit a little better. The smaller viewport version of the footer will still contain 4 columns but they will only be 2 columns wide. Also, grid allows you to define how many columns you want another column to span, so it sort of lends itself to using the column this way. I’m certain there is a way, but I didn’t want to spend a ton of time on it and this version seems to work just fine. The reason I did it this way is because I didn’t know how to implement a row inside of the grid containter that I have already defined to have columns. I put “row” in quotes here because the row is really a column that will span the entire width of the 4 columns above it. The basic template for our footer on larger viewports will be a 4 column grid with a “row” underneath the columns. The plan is to have our footer be responsive. But confusing syntax might mean that it is more flexible? I guess I’m still deciding. Using grid is fine for the most part but I find the syntax a little more confusing. I’ve definitely used flexbox for larger scale layouts and it seemed to work fine and wasn’t too complicated, so I guess the jury is still out for me on which to use and when. I’ve read in a few places that grid should be used for larger scale layouts (like header, sidenav, content, footer, etc) and flexbox should be used more for alignment purposes. I am still a little grey on when to use flexbox and when to use grid. I haven’t done much with css grid up until this point, so I thought a footer section might be a good candidate for using it since footers are often multiple columns of links and what not. So, here is a walkthrough of building a simple responsive footer with CSS grid and a little bit of flexbox. $ sudo ln -s /usr/share/phpmyadmin/ /var/www We are almost done here, just run this simple command to create a symlink in /var/www/ to the PHPMyAdmin folder in /usr/share/. $ sudo apt install phpmyadminĭuring installation, it will show you the below dialog, choose NO. If you have a small business with only a few users, then a small mail server may be all you need. Make sure the mail server has the features you need to run your business efficiently.Īnother important factor is the size of your organization. Some of the features to look for include support for different mail clients and integration with your existing software and hardware. The most important factors are the features the server offers and how well it meets your needs. When looking for a mail server, there are many things you need to consider. How to choose the best windows mail server? They open a new way to expand customer acquisition and retention for your business, no matter its size. The best mail servers are easy and smart resources that can help you achieve better communication and marketing results. Using top mail servers is one of the key methods to increase the business revenue in the long run. So, make sure to look out for which of the candidates support these different protocols - that will tell you a lot about what you can expect from them. There are some mail servers that also support the more secure Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP). On the outgoing side, most mail servers use the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) to send the emails they have previously received from the user’s client software. Want a better way to host your websites and web apps? Developing something new? Simply don’t like Windows? That’s why we have Linux VPS. While the more popular POP3 is more storage-efficient (it deletes emails it has sent to the client software), IMAP is more secure and customizable. An incoming mail server usually operates using the Post Office Protocol 3 (POP3) or the Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP). Although almost all mail servers handle both incoming and outgoing emails, the two functions are separate, and follow different protocols. There are actually two sides to mail servers as well. They also do the opposite, receiving emails from the user and forwarding them to another server. Also known as Mail Transfer Agents (MTAs), they receive incoming emails from other servers before forwarding them to the user’s client software. But when you go from being a user to trying to start your own business, you will come to see the other side of emails: mail servers.Ī mail server is basically a software application used to transfer emails from one point of the Internet to another. 7.3 Is Microsoft Outlook a mail server?
